MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

School Improvement Goal: All students will improve reading comprehension skills across the curriculum. 

 DATES AND TIMES FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETIC EVENTS MAY BE FOUND AT www.gonwtigers.com

 The high school’s National Honor Society will be offering after-school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-3:30 in the high school Learning Commons beginning Tuesday, September 11.  Students must arrive before 3:00 in order to take advantage of this free help.

Open cages for anyone interested in playing golf will begin TOMORROW, Thursday, January 24 in the field house from 3:30-4:30. Open cages will be every Tuesday and Thursday. All participants must have a physical on file in the athletic office.  Athletes will meet in Coach Koetter's room at 3:00.  Room C-11.

7th grade lost to North Miami 10-31.

Leading scorers for Northwestern were Lexi Hale and Bella Vannater each with 4 points.

7th grade is 0-3.

8th grade beat North Miami 43-17.

Leading scorers for Northwestern were McKenna Layden with 26 points and Bailey Henry with 5 points.

8th grade is 3-0.

Just a reminder, if you took an angel off the elder tree, gifts must be wrapped and returned to Miss Racine by TOMORROW, December 20th.  For those who took an angel, you have the option of coming to deliver presents to the nursing home on Friday.  Thanks for all of the help!

Student Council is sponsoring their first Dan's Donut for a Dollar Day tomorrow, Friday, December 7th. Bring in your dollar Friday before school and you can purchase a Dan's donut for $1. All proceeds go towards the Northwestern Middle School Student Council service project as we continue to raise money for the school in Guatemala. Please note that there will be a limited number of donuts available and once they are gone, they are gone....that is until next time!

The first day of official practice for 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball teams is tonight from 5-7 in the HS gym. Meet in the lobby between the HS gym and the Tiger Den.  

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL WINTER SEMI-FORMAL DANCE

The middle school winter semi-formal dance will be Friday, December 14 from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the auditorium fieldhouse lobby. Ticket cost is $5.00
