NMS IS A SCHOOL!
School Improvement Goal: All Students will improve reading comprehension skills across the curriculum
RENAISSANCE PLACE
Welcome to the NMS web site. As Principal, I believe you will find our website informative and a useful tool to gather information regarding NMS.
NMS is an outstanding middle school where we are committed to the success of each of our students. Strong parental involvement in the education of their children is a vital component to our success. Working together, we are helping the children grow into readers, writers, creative thinkers, and problem solvers, as we prepare them for life in the 21st century.
Our school is a traditional middle school made up of both 7th and 8th grades. The educators, support staff, and volunteers work together to provide an outstanding program where each student has an opportunity to achieve his or her potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Our School Improvement Plan guides our continuous school improvement efforts.
There are many ways for you to communicate with us. Our address, phone numbers, and email address are listed here on the website. We look forward to hearing from you regarding anything that can help us continue to thrive as an excellent school.
Have a great year!
Brett Davis
Principal

VISION STATEMENT
The vision of Northwestern Middle School is to provide an environment, in collaboration with parents and community, which supports students' intellectual, ethical, social, and physical development. Students become life-long learners who develop critical thinking and leadership skills by engaging in a rigorous curriculum of core and unified arts content. Students are provided with opportunities to make appropriate decisions, think independently, communicate effectively, and display curiosity.
Welcome Back!
My name is Jennifer Berryman, and I am the counselor at Northwestern Middle School. I am excited about another great school year. I have many different responsiblities in the middle school, but my primary goal is to help students remove barriers that affect their learning. If a student is facing a problem, whether it be academic, social, or behavioral, it is difficult for him or her to be ready to learn. For this reason, I am available to students, parents, administrators, and teachers to help our adolescents achieve their potential.
Please feel free to call or E-mail me at school.
